Iran will continue military operations until revenge is taken for the killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, according to official statements from Tehran.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Tasnim, that Mohsen Rezaei, a member of Iran's Expediency Discernment Council and Secretary of the Supreme Council for Economic Coordination, made these remarks regarding the ongoing escalation.

Rezaei, a former commander of the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps), emphasized that the speed and intensity of military operations are being increased. "After heavy damage was inflicted on foreign ships and military bases in the region, a withdrawal and relocation of forces is being observed," he added. According to Mohsen Rezaei, the scale of damage to US and Israeli military installations has significantly increased.

The current conflict escalated on February 28, when the US and Israel launched military operations against Iran, conducting airstrikes on various cities across the republic. These strikes resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking officials, including the country's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The situation has led to heightened tensions across the Middle East, with US President Donald Trump maintaining a firm stance on regional security and the protection of strategic interests.

The ongoing military confrontation marks one of the most significant shifts in regional geopolitics in decades. As the successor to the previous administration, US President Donald Trump has prioritized the neutralization of threats posed by Tehran's proxy networks and its missile program. International observers remain concerned that the cycle of retaliatory strikes could further destabilize global energy markets and maritime security in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
