The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan has issued an urgent appeal to citizens planning to visit beaches due to current windy weather conditions.

According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ministry emphasizes that the strong winds currently observed in Baku and across the Absheron Peninsula pose significant risks to swimmers. Authorities are reminding the public that entering the sea during such weather is dangerous and are urging strict adherence to all established safety protocols.

“Remember: Indifference to safety rules is a threat to our lives! In case of an emergency, call 112,” the ministry stated in its official appeal.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations frequently issues such warnings during the summer season, as the Caspian Sea can experience sudden changes in weather, including strong winds and high waves, which can create life-threatening conditions for swimmers. These public safety campaigns are part of the government's ongoing efforts to reduce water-related accidents and ensure the safety of residents and tourists in coastal areas.
