Pensions for the month of March have been paid ahead of schedule in Baku, Sumgait, and the Absheron region. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population released a statement confirming the early disbursement of funds.
In addition to the capital and surrounding areas, pension payments for the month of March have also been completed ahead of the usual schedule in Nakhchivan. The ministry further emphasized that pensions for other regions of Azerbaijan, as well as pensions granted on preferential terms, will be paid before the upcoming Novruz and Ramadan holidays.
The early payment of social benefits is a recurring practice in Azerbaijan during major national and religious holidays to ensure citizens can meet their festive needs. Novruz, which marks the arrival of spring, and the holy month of Ramadan are among the most significant celebrations in the country, often accompanied by various state-led social support initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of the population.
