All social welfare payments for March, including allowances, scholarships, and targeted state social assistance, were fully disbursed today ahead of the upcoming holidays in Azerbaijan.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population released an official statement confirming the completion of all social payments for the month significantly ahead of the original schedule.
This follows the earlier disbursement of pensions on March 6 for residents of Baku, Sumgait, the Absheron district, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Furthermore, on March 11, pensions for individuals living in other regions of Azerbaijan, as well as those receiving pensions on preferential terms, were also processed ahead of time.
The early distribution of these funds is traditionally timed to coincide with Novruz Bayrami, one of Azerbaijan's most significant national holidays, which celebrates the arrival of spring. By ensuring early access to social funds, the government aims to support the financial well-being of vulnerable populations during the festive period, reflecting the state's ongoing commitment to social protection and citizen welfare.
