Makron Rusiya tankerləri ilə bağlı xəbərdarlıq etdi

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that Europe will continue its policy of restricting the capacity of tankers transporting Russian oil.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Macron stated in a social media post: "We will continue to impose sanctions and take new measures against the 'shadow fleet'."

The French leader also emphasized that the interests of European countries must be taken into account when discussing the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. He noted that maintaining maritime security and economic pressure remains a priority for the European Union's collective strategy.

The "shadow fleet" refers to a network of aging tankers with opaque ownership that operate outside Western insurance and shipping services to bypass price caps on Russian oil. Since the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, European nations and their G7 partners have intensified efforts to track and penalize these vessels to diminish the revenue used to fund military operations. These measures are part of a broader sanctions regime aimed at ensuring regional stability and upholding international law.
