The second attempt of the master's degree entrance exams in Baku, Absheron, and Sumgait has been rescheduled for June 14, following force majeure circumstances caused by adverse weather conditions.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the State Examination Center (SEC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan issued a statement regarding the new date. Bachelors who were previously registered for the exam held on May 17 are eligible to participate in the upcoming session. Registration will be available from May 21 to May 23 through a dedicated link on the Center's official website.
The SEC further clarified that the exam will be free of charge for candidates who had obtained their admission tickets for the May 17 session but were unable to attend due to delays caused by the severe weather. Other bachelors who wish to retake the exam may do so by paying the required participation fee according to standard procedures.
According to preliminary data, out of 19,746 registered participants in Baku, Absheron, and Sumgait, approximately 17,912 individuals (90.7%) took part in the May 17 exam. The decision to organize a repeat session ensures that students impacted by environmental factors are not disadvantaged in the competitive admissions process.
Master's degree admissions in Azerbaijan are conducted centrally by the State Examination Center, ensuring a standardized evaluation for all graduates seeking higher levels of education. These exams are a vital part of the national academic calendar, determining placement into specialized postgraduate programs across the country's leading universities.
