To enhance public transport accessibility following the separation of metro lines, a new express bus route is being launched based on recent analytical assessments. This initiative is designed to better accommodate passenger demand across the city's transit network.
This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
Officials stated that the M7 express route will begin operations on September 6. The service is specifically designed to meet the growing passenger demand between the "20 Yanvar" metro station and the "Qara Qarayev," "Neftçilər," "Xalqlar Dostluğu," "Əhmədli," and "Həzi Aslanov" stations.
The designated bus stop at the "20 Yanvar" metro station is located on Rovshan Jafarov Street, opposite the area known as "Velotrek," while the stop at the "Həzi Aslanov" metro station is situated on Mahammad Hadi Street, directly in front of the station.
The buses will operate in synchronization with the metro's schedule, running daily from 06:00 to 00:00. This new route is part of broader efforts by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency to optimize urban mobility and reduce congestion in Baku by providing more efficient alternatives to existing transit corridors.
