An earthquake has been recorded in the Lankaran region of Azerbaijan. The Bureau of Earthquake Research informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that the seismic event took place recently, though no damage has been reported.

According to official data from the bureau, the earthquake had a magnitude of 3.1. The epicenter was located 12 km west of the Lankaran station. Despite the seismic activity, the tremors were not felt by residents in the surrounding areas and did not cause any disruptions to local infrastructure.

Lankaran, located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, sits within a seismically active zone characteristic of the broader Caucasus region. The Republic of Azerbaijan regularly monitors seismic activity through the Republican Seismic Survey Center to ensure public safety and infrastructure resilience. Such minor tremors are common in the region and typically do not result in significant impact or casualties.
