The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially condemned the drone strikes carried out by Iran against Azerbaijan today, as well as yesterday's incident involving the downing of an Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in Turkish airspace.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the Kuwaiti MFA issued a formal statement expressing deep concern over the escalation of regional tensions and the violation of sovereign borders. The ministry emphasized the importance of maintaining regional stability and adhering to international law regarding territorial integrity.
Nakhchivan, an exclave of the Republic of Azerbaijan, shares borders with Armenia, Iran, and Türkiye. This strategic region has seen increased security measures in recent years. The condemnation from Kuwait follows a series of regional diplomatic efforts to ensure peace and security in the South Caucasus, particularly following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity in the Garabagh region.
