A major fire that broke out at a warehouse in the Lokbatan settlement of Baku's Garadagh district has been brought under control. The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that firefighting teams successfully prevented the flames from spreading to a wider area, although operations to completely extinguish the fire are still ongoing.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Minister Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov arrived at the site to personally supervise the response. The ministry deployed ground forces from the State Fire Protection Service along with helicopters from the aviation detachment to combat the blaze. The Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB) confirmed to Report and the Operative Information Center-OMM that no injuries were recorded as of 09:30 AM on May 12, though emergency medical teams remain stationed at the scene as a precaution. Rescuers are currently working to evacuate goods from the warehouse to secure locations to minimize property damage.
