Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has remained in Switzerland to lead an expert negotiation group tasked with conducting consultations with the United States. This development marks a transition to a more technical phase of ongoing diplomatic efforts.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing international media reports, the next stage of these negotiations is set to commence today. The discussions will proceed with the participation of representatives from mediating nations, specifically Pakistan and Qatar.

The primary Iranian delegation, which included Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati, has already departed Switzerland. On the American side, the initial high-level discussions featured US Vice President J.D. Vance, alongside presidential envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Following the conclusion of the initial meetings, officials from Pakistan and Qatar confirmed that technical negotiations would continue throughout the week in Switzerland, focusing on lower-level diplomatic and expert-level engagement. These talks are widely viewed as a critical mechanism for managing regional tensions and addressing outstanding bilateral issues between Tehran and Washington, reflecting the ongoing diplomatic efforts to maintain open channels of communication despite complex geopolitical challenges.
