Kamo Qriqoryan: Bir il axtarışda olan deputat oğlu təslim oldu

Kamo Grigoryan, the eldest son of Martun Grigoryan, a candidate from the Prosperous Armenia Party, has been taken into custody. The arrest follows a long-standing criminal case involving charges of hooliganism and a subsequent official warrant for his arrest.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing reports from the Armlur publication, Kamo Grigoryan voluntarily surrendered to investigative authorities on June 19, accompanied by his lawyer, Arsen Babayan.

Grigoryan had been a wanted fugitive for approximately one year, following the initiation of a criminal case in June 2025. Following his voluntary appearance, the court reviewed his detention status and ruled to uphold the pre-trial detention measure, keeping him in custody. Defense attorney Arsen Babayan stated that his client had previously spent two months in detention. Babayan emphasized that Grigoryan denies the charges brought against him and intends to prove his innocence through legal channels.

The arrest of high-profile figures or their relatives in Armenia often draws significant public attention, reflecting broader societal concerns regarding the rule of law and the judicial system's independence in the country. Such cases are frequently scrutinized by local media and political observers, as they intersect with the complex political landscape and the ongoing activities of various political parties, including the Prosperous Armenia Party, which has historically played a notable role in the Armenian political arena.
