The Israeli Air Force has destroyed an aircraft used by Iran's leader Ali Khamenei and high-ranking officials at Mehrabad airport in Tehran.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the information was released by the military's press service. According to the statement, the aircraft was at the disposal of Ali Khamenei, as well as other senior Iranian officials and military personnel. The vessel was utilized for both domestic travel and international flights related to military procurement and coordinating activities with allied states.
"The destruction of the aircraft reduces the ability of the Iranian leadership to coordinate activities with the 'Axis of Resistance' states, increase military power, and restore their positions," the official statement emphasized. The strike is viewed as a significant blow to the logistical and operational capabilities of the Iranian administration's regional network.
Mehrabad International Airport, located in the western part of Tehran, serves as one of the primary hubs for government and military aviation in Iran. This incident occurs amid heightened regional tensions and follows a series of strategic operations targeting high-value assets. The Republic of Azerbaijan continues to monitor regional developments closely, maintaining its commitment to regional stability and international security norms.
