Israel has expressed significant concern that US President Donald Trump may enter into an agreement with Iran that overlooks several fundamental issues fueling regional conflict. According to reports citing senior Israeli officials, there is a growing fear in Tel Aviv that Washington might prioritize a diplomatic breakthrough over long-term security guarantees.

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing CNN, reported that Israeli officials are wary of the terms being discussed. "There are real concerns that Trump will enter into an unfavorable deal," one source stated. Officials emphasized that any agreement allowing Iran to partially maintain its nuclear program while leaving ballistic missile development and support for regional proxies unaddressed would be unacceptable to Israel. "Israel remains in a state of high combat readiness against the possibility of the negotiation process collapsing," another high-ranking representative added.

The diplomatic tension follows a period of intense military escalation in the Middle East. On February 28, the United States and Israel launched joint military operations against Iran, involving airstrikes on several cities. These strikes resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran launched missile strikes against Israel and targeted US military bases in the Persian Gulf. While a ceasefire was reached on the night of April 8 and subsequently extended by US President Donald Trump, recent negotiations in Pakistan on April 11-12 failed to produce a definitive resolution. Currently, the region remains under economic and military pressure, with the US blockading Iranian ports and the Strait of Hormuz, leading to a significant global energy crisis.
