Weather warning issued for Azerbaijan.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a weather advisory for the coming days.
According to the forecast, intermittent precipitation is expected across Azerbaijan, primarily in mountainous and foothill regions, from June 4 to 6. Meteorologists warn that rainfall may be intense in some areas, accompanied by lightning and potential hail.
Due to the expected precipitation, water levels in rivers are projected to rise. There is a heightened risk of short-term flooding and flash floods in some mountain rivers, prompting authorities to advise residents and travelers in these areas to exercise caution.
The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors atmospheric conditions across the country to provide timely alerts. Such warnings are critical in Azerbaijan, where the diverse topography, ranging from lowland plains to the high-altitude Caucasus Mountains, makes certain regions susceptible to rapid hydrological changes during periods of intense rainfall.
