Passenger bus accident in Istanbul leaves 12 injured

A serious traffic accident occurred in Istanbul, Turkey, at the O-3 Hal-Otogar junction on the TEM highway. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing TRT Haber, a passenger bus traveling toward Edirne lost control, struck roadside barriers, and overturned.

Emergency response teams, including medical personnel, firefighters, and police units, were immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving reports of the incident. Authorities confirmed that 12 passengers sustained injuries of varying severity.

Rescue teams, assisted by bystanders, successfully extricated passengers trapped inside the vehicle. The injured were subsequently transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

The TEM highway, which connects Europe to Asia via Istanbul, is a major arterial road in Turkey known for high traffic volume. Accidents on this route are frequently monitored by Turkish emergency services, who maintain rapid response protocols to manage traffic flow and ensure the safety of commuters on this critical transit corridor.
