The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have issued an urgent evacuation order for residents of nine villages in southern Lebanon as military operations against Hezbollah targets intensify.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing The Times of Israel, the IDF's official spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, stated that the military was compelled to act following violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah. "The IDF is forced to use force due to the Hezbollah organization's violation of the ceasefire agreement and does not intend to harm you," Adraee said, instructing residents to leave their homes and move at least one kilometer away.

The situation along the Israel-Lebanon border remains volatile following a period of heightened hostilities. Despite international efforts to maintain a fragile ceasefire, sporadic clashes and rocket fire have continued to destabilize the region. Israel maintains that its military actions are targeted specifically at Hezbollah's infrastructure to prevent cross-border attacks, while international observers have repeatedly called for both sides to adhere to diplomatic resolutions to prevent a full-scale regional conflict.
