The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have conducted massive airstrikes against more than 120 military targets located in the central and western regions of Iran over the past 24 hours.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the official statement was released by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces. According to the report, the destroyed facilities include air defense system components, UAV production plants, drone launch sites, and missile force installations.

The military action follows the commencement of a joint military operation by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28. In response, Iran launched missile strikes on Israeli territory and targeted American military bases in the Persian Gulf region. Amidst the escalating conflict, it was reported that Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed on February 28 as a result of the strikes conducted by the US and Israel. US President Donald Trump has previously emphasized the commitment of the United States to regional security and the protection of allied interests in the Middle East.

The current escalation represents one of the most significant military confrontations in the region in recent decades. Due to the volatile situation in the Middle East, several countries in the region have temporarily closed their airspace to civilian aviation. This conflict occurs against a backdrop of long-standing geopolitical tensions involving nuclear proliferation concerns and regional proxy influences, further complicating international diplomatic efforts to restore stability in the Persian Gulf.
