Foreign ministers of Arab and Islamic countries will gather in Riyadh on March 18 to discuss the current situation in the region.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia released information regarding the upcoming summit.
"On March 18, negotiations will be held between the foreign ministers of Arab and Islamic countries in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The parties plan to discuss the coordination of their actions to ensure security in the Middle East," the Saudi Arabian MFA stated in a press release. While the primary focus remains on regional stability, specific details regarding the full list of participating nations have not yet been disclosed.
This high-level meeting comes at a time of heightened diplomatic activity across the Islamic world. Such forums typically serve as a platform for member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League to align their foreign policy positions on humanitarian issues, conflict resolution, and economic cooperation. Riyadh, as a central diplomatic hub in the region, frequently hosts these consultations to foster collective security frameworks and strengthen multilateral ties among Muslim-majority nations.
