Iran has managed to preserve a substantial portion of its military potential despite recent military operations conducted by the United States and Israel.

Operative Information Center-OMM, citing CBS News, reports that Tehran's strategic assets, including ballistic missiles and naval forces, remain largely operational following the recent escalation. According to US officials familiar with intelligence data, Iran retained approximately half of its ballistic missile stockpile and launchers prior to the ceasefire that took effect on April 8.

The report indicates that while the regular Iranian Navy sustained significant damage, nearly 60 percent of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval capabilities—specifically fast attack craft and small vessels used in the Strait of Hormuz—remain intact. Furthermore, about two-thirds of the Iranian Air Force is estimated to be functional. These findings appear to contradict previous assessments provided by the Pentagon and US President Donald Trump, who had suggested that Iran's military capabilities were more severely degraded.

The military escalation began on February 28, leading to a 40-day conflict that resulted in the deaths of 3,375 Iranians, according to figures released by Tehran. Although US President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire on April 7 and expressed intentions to extend it on April 21, diplomatic negotiations held in Islamabad on April 11 failed to reach a definitive resolution. The resilience of Iran's maritime and missile assets remains a key concern for regional security, particularly given the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz to global energy markets, through which a significant portion of the world's oil supply passes.
