The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces has issued a stern warning regarding third parties providing support to the United States.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Fars news agency, the statement declares that any entity providing support in any form to US operations directed against Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity will be considered a legitimate military target for the Iranian Armed Forces.
The statement further emphasized that any actions posing a threat to the country's national security will be met with a decisive response.
Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated significantly in recent days. The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it had conducted strikes against several targets in response to Iranian operations in the Strait of Hormuz. In retaliation, Iran claimed to have targeted US military facilities located in Bahrain and Kuwait. Tehran has accused Washington of violating the terms of existing memorandums regarding the cessation of military operations.
The Strait of Hormuz, where these recent confrontations have occurred, remains one of the world's most critical maritime chokepoints for global oil supplies. Approximately one-fifth of the world's oil consumption passes through this narrow waterway, making any military escalation in the region a matter of significant international concern regarding global energy security and maritime stability.
