Tehran's Ambassador to Islamabad, Reza Amiri-Moghaddam, has stated that Pakistan's efforts to halt the conflict between Iran and regional actors are approaching a decisive stage.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the diplomat shared these details in a post on the social media platform X. The ambassador emphasized that the goodwill and productive initiatives undertaken by Pakistan to bring an end to hostilities are now entering a critical and sensitive phase.
“Pakistan's goodwill and productive efforts to stop the war are approaching a critical and sensitive stage. Stay tuned for more information,” the ambassador noted in his post, signaling that further developments regarding the mediation process may be announced soon.
The diplomatic relationship between Iran and Pakistan has faced significant challenges recently, following cross-border military strikes earlier this year targeting militant groups. However, both nations have since expressed a commitment to de-escalation and regional stability. Pakistan's role as a mediator is seen as vital for maintaining security in the region, given its strategic position and historical ties with both Tehran and other regional stakeholders. These peace initiatives are part of a broader effort to prevent further military escalation in the Middle East and South Asia.
