Iran has issued a stern warning regarding the passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, specifically targeting ships linked to the United States and Israel. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Public Relations Department released a statement declaring that movement is strictly prohibited for any vessels traveling to or from ports belonging to countries allied with the US and Israel.

The statement noted that following remarks by US President Donald Trump regarding the supposed openness of the Strait of Hormuz, three container ships from various nations attempted to enter the designated transit corridor used by authorized vessels earlier this morning. However, the IRGC Navy reported that these ships were forced to turn back after receiving formal warnings. The IRGC Navy emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed to such traffic and warned that any unauthorized movement in the waterway would be met with "strict intervention."

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most strategically important chokepoints, serving as the primary maritime route for oil exports from the Persian Gulf. Approximately one-fifth of the world's total oil consumption passes through this narrow waterway daily. Tensions in the region often impact global energy markets, as the strait connects the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, making it a critical hub for international trade and maritime security.
