Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, has announced that Tehran will demand compensation from several Arab states for damages incurred during recent US-Israeli military operations.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing foreign media outlets, that the Iranian envoy formalised this demand in a letter addressed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

In the official correspondence, Iravani stated that Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan must provide full financial and moral restitution for damages caused to Iran. The demand is based on the allegation that these nations allowed their territories and airspace to be utilized by the United States during military strikes against Iranian interests. According to the letter cited by the Interfax agency, permitting such access is classified by Tehran as an act of aggression and a violation of international law, asserting that these states failed to uphold their sovereign obligations toward Iran.

This development comes amid heightened regional tensions following a series of military escalations involving US forces and Israeli operations in the Middle East. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, Washington has maintained a firm stance on regional security, often coordinating with Gulf allies to counter Iranian influence. The demand for compensation marks a significant diplomatic escalation, as Tehran seeks to hold neighboring states legally and financially accountable for their strategic partnerships with the United States and Israel.
