President Ilham Aliyev has stated that there is a significant difference between the actions taken by US President Donald Trump and the policies pursued by previous US administrations.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during the opening ceremony of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum.
The head of state emphasized: "Unfortunately, during the 30-year occupation, the main goal of the US administration, along with the co-chairs of the then-Minsk Group, was to freeze this conflict. Azerbaijan's territories were not being liberated, even though there were UN Security Council resolutions on this matter, which they themselves had acknowledged. The goal was to freeze this situation and use it as a mechanism of influence against Azerbaijan and, in a certain sense, Armenia."
