President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to his Slovenian counterpart, Nataša Pirc Musar, on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Slovenia – Statehood Day.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the message reads:

"Dear Madam President,

On the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Slovenia – Statehood Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and your people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.

I believe that we will continue our joint efforts to successfully develop the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, which are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties this year, and to expand our mutually beneficial cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

On this festive day, I convey my best wishes to you and wish the friendly people of Slovenia lasting peace and prosperity."

Azerbaijan and Slovenia have maintained diplomatic relations since 1996, with cooperation spanning various sectors including energy, trade, and cultural exchange. The two nations have actively sought to strengthen their partnership within the framework of international organizations, with both countries emphasizing the importance of expanding bilateral ties as they mark three decades of diplomatic engagement.
