President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has shared a post on his social media accounts on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the post emphasizes the enduring legacy of the late leader. "National Leader Heydar Aliyev would be happy if he saw today's Azerbaijan. I am sure his soul is happy because today's Azerbaijan is his work," the President stated.
Heydar Aliyev, widely regarded as the architect of the modern Azerbaijani state, served as President from 1993 to 2003. His tenure was marked by the establishment of political stability, the signing of the "Contract of the Century" for oil development, and the laying of the foundation for the country's current economic and diplomatic standing.
