The State Examination Center (SEC) has officially announced the results of the university entrance exams for the second and third specialty groups, which were held on May 24, 2026.
According to information provided to the "Operative Information Center-OMM" by the State Examination Center, candidates can access their results, graphic representations of their answer sheets, and evaluation criteria for open-ended questions via the official website. Additionally, students can receive their results by sending the code provided on their exam admission ticket to 7727 via mobile operators (Azercell, Bakcell, Nar).
The entrance exam system in Azerbaijan is a critical component of the national education framework, designed to ensure meritocratic access to higher education. The exams are conducted in two stages, with a maximum possible score of 300 in the first stage and 400 in the second, totaling 700 points. The final competition for university placement is based on the sum of scores from both stages.
Out of 56,847 registered candidates, 2,429 did not attend the exam. Furthermore, 12 students were disqualified for violating examination rules, resulting in the cancellation of their scores. Among the top performers, Banuchichek Rustamli from Baku achieved the highest result in the second specialty group with a total of 688.9 points. In the third specialty group, Ayan Musayeva from the Tovuz region secured the top position with a total of 688.7 points.
The State Examination Center has established an Appeal Commission to address inquiries regarding the results. Applications will be accepted electronically from June 18 at 10:00 until June 20 at 17:00 via the SEC website. The appeal process involves a thorough review by experts, and applicants will be notified of the outcome via SMS. The SEC emphasizes that appeals regarding incorrectly marked answer sheets or those submitted without prior review of the published evaluation criteria will not be considered.
