Huseyn Rzaqulu oglu Guliyev has been recalled from his position as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed a corresponding decree to formalize the decision.
It should be noted that Huseyn Guliyev had served as Azerbaijan's ambassador to Uzbekistan since 2012. During his tenure, he played a significant role in strengthening bilateral relations, cultural exchanges, and economic cooperation between Baku and Tashkent, which are key strategic partners within the Turkic world.
Diplomatic appointments and recalls are standard procedures within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, aimed at optimizing the country's diplomatic representation abroad and aligning it with current foreign policy priorities.
