A new shipment of goods from Russia to Armenia was successfully transported via the territory of Azerbaijan today. The transit operation highlights the growing role of Azerbaijan's logistics infrastructure in facilitating regional trade and connectivity.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the shipment consisted of two wagons of aluminum—marking the first time this commodity has been transported on this specific route—and nine wagons of grain. The cargo was dispatched from the Bilajari station of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC. This follows a similar operation the previous day, where eight wagons containing 543 tons of fertilizer and ten wagons with 695 tons of grain were sent to Armenia through Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan continues to strengthen its position as a vital transit and logistics hub in the South Caucasus, leveraging its strategic geographical location to facilitate the movement of goods between neighboring countries. The utilization of Azerbaijan's railway network for such transit purposes is part of a broader regional strategy to enhance transport corridors and ensure the efficiency of international supply chains. These operations are conducted in accordance with established international transport regulations and Azerbaijan's commitment to regional economic cooperation.
