The State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has conducted tactical fire drills at the "Nahang Dash" shopping center, located in the Yeni Ganja residential area of Ganja city. The exercise focused on the theme of "Extinguishing fires occurring in commercial enterprises."
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the primary objective of the drill was to improve the coordination of fire protection units deployed to commercial centers in the event of an emergency. Furthermore, the exercise sought to strengthen the professional skills of personnel in extinguishing fires at such facilities and to enhance the knowledge of the center's staff regarding initial response protocols during fire incidents.
During the simulation, units from the Ganja City State Fire Protection Department arrived promptly at the site of the "simulated fire." They successfully executed rapid reconnaissance and firefighting operations. A total of 40 personnel and 4 pieces of specialized equipment were involved in the exercise.
Following the successful completion of the drills, the results were reviewed, and relevant instructions were issued to the staff. Such exercises are a standard practice for the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Azerbaijan, which regularly conducts drills across the country to ensure public safety and maintain high readiness levels among emergency response teams in high-traffic commercial and public venues.
