Germany has approved the export of military equipment worth 6.6 million euros to Israel during the first four weeks of the joint operations conducted by the United States and Israel against Iran. According to data provided by the German Ministry of Economic Affairs, the relevant licenses were issued between February 28 and March 27, following the commencement of strikes on Iranian targets by Israeli and US forces.

The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing The Times of Israel and the DPA news agency, reports that this volume of exports is significantly lower than previous figures. Berlin had previously approved export licenses worth 166.95 million euros after restrictions related to the conflict in Gaza were lifted in November 2025. The current figures reflect a calibrated approach to military exports amid the evolving regional security landscape.

Arms exports to Israel remain a politically sensitive issue within Germany. Following the October 7, 2023, attacks by Hamas, Berlin initially strengthened its military support for Israel. However, the German government later implemented restrictions on supplies amid international criticism regarding military actions in the Gaza Strip. The position was subsequently eased following the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in October, as Germany continues to balance its historical commitments to Israel's security with broader diplomatic considerations in the Middle East.
