Füzuli şəhərində 2040-cı ilədək 50 min nəfər məskunlaşacaq

According to the master plan for Fuzuli, which covers a total area of nearly 2,000 hectares, the city is projected to accommodate 50,000 residents by 2040.

As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, this was announced by Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories of the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts. He provided these details while briefing the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on the ongoing and planned reconstruction efforts aligned with the city's master plan.

During the briefing, Huseynov also informed the distinguished guest about the extensive destruction and acts of vandalism committed by Armenian armed forces in the Fuzuli district during the 30-year occupation. He emphasized that Fuzuli is being rebuilt in accordance with modern urban planning standards and will feature the implementation of the "Smart City" concept.

It should be noted that the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, is currently visiting the Fuzuli district as part of his state visit to Azerbaijan. Together with President Ilham Aliyev, he inspected the areas of Fuzuli that were devastated during the occupation.

The reconstruction of Fuzuli is a cornerstone of Azerbaijan's "Great Return" program, a comprehensive state initiative aimed at restoring the liberated territories of Garabagh and East Zangezur. This program focuses on rebuilding infrastructure, housing, and social facilities to facilitate the safe and dignified return of former internally displaced persons to their ancestral lands, transforming the region into a modern, sustainable economic zone.
