A container ship belonging to the French company CMA CGM SA has successfully completed its transit through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global trade artery.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Bloomberg, that the vessel, sailing under the Maltese flag, began its passage along the Iranian coast through the strait on Thursday afternoon.
According to official data, the crew identified the vessel as being under French ownership during the transit. The process concluded successfully as the ship reached the coast of Oman early this morning. The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world's most strategically important chokepoints, as it serves as the primary maritime route for oil and liquefied natural gas exports from the Persian Gulf. Ensuring the safe passage of commercial vessels through these waters is critical for maintaining the stability of global energy markets and international supply chains.
