Ukraine has received a significant tranche of financial support from the European Commission.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on the social media platform X that 3.47 billion euros have been transferred to Kyiv's account.
Von der Leyen emphasized that the allocated funds are crucial for strengthening Ukraine's security. "With these funds, we are helping Ukraine protect its skies and defend its people," she stated.
The European Commission President further noted that industrial cooperation between the European Union and Ukraine is expanding. According to her, both parties plan to develop joint projects by combining European industrial capabilities with Ukraine's innovative potential.
It is worth noting that the European Union had previously announced a total financial aid package of 8.3 billion euros for Ukraine. To receive the full amount, Ukraine is expected to continue implementing reforms in the areas of the rule of law and anti-corruption measures by the end of the year.
The European Union has been a primary financial backer of Ukraine since the onset of the conflict, providing various forms of macroeconomic, humanitarian, and military support to ensure the country's stability and resilience against ongoing aggression.
