Armenia’s Committee of Cadastre Chairman Suren Tovmasyan will pay a working visit to Russia.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed the decision on the visit.
Tovmasyan will be in Moscow from Sept. 15 to 17 to attend the 48th session of the Interstate Council of CIS member states on geodesy, cartography, cadastre and remote sensing of the Earth.
Eduard Akopyan, head of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee, will also pay a working visit to Iran.
On Sept. 12, he will visit the city of Julfa and the Norduz border crossing.
Akopyan will also attend a bilateral meeting devoted to cross-border cooperation.
Armenia and Iran previously agreed to establish a “simplified customs corridor.”
Under the jointly prepared project, the customs authorities of one country will provide the other country in advance with electronic information about goods and senders when processing cargo shipped to the neighboring state.
The mechanism will enable the receiving side to conduct customs control over the cargo under simplified procedures.
The planned arrangements are intended to facilitate cross-border trade by allowing customs authorities to exchange shipment information before goods arrive. Such mechanisms can help streamline inspections and reduce processing time while maintaining customs oversight.
