Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the Ukraine crisis during his speech at the plenary session of the NATO summit held in Ankara.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Erdogan expressed his support for the initiatives put forward by US President Donald Trump regarding the settlement of the Ukraine crisis.

The Turkish leader stated that Ankara is prepared to participate in diplomatic efforts in this direction. Erdogan noted that he shares US President Donald Trump's approach to peace and supports his initiative to identify Ukraine's priority needs.

President Erdogan emphasized that Ankara continues to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine while maintaining open channels of dialogue with Russia. According to the Turkish leader, preserving contacts with the Russian side remains one of the critical factors for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict. He reiterated that Turkey continues its diplomatic efforts to bring the Russia-Ukraine war to a sustainable and lasting peace.

It should be noted that Ankara has previously announced its ongoing mediation activities aimed at resuming negotiations between the parties and contributing to the peace process. Turkey has historically positioned itself as a key mediator in the region, having hosted previous rounds of peace talks and facilitating the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which underscores its active role in international diplomacy.
