Prime Minister Ali Asadov has held a meeting with the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Cabinet of Ministers reported that the discussions centered on the significance of the upcoming graduation ceremony at the Baku branch of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
During the meeting, the Baku branch was highlighted as a successful example of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, playing a pivotal role in training highly qualified medical personnel. The parties reviewed the current state and future development prospects of mutually beneficial collaboration in healthcare, medical education, and medical science.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musayev, the Rector of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Pyotr Glybochko, and the Rector of the university's Baku branch, Aziz Aliyev.
The Baku branch of Sechenov University, established in 2015, serves as a key institution for integrating Russian medical education standards into the Azerbaijani healthcare system. This partnership reflects the broader strategic cooperation between Baku and Moscow in the humanitarian and scientific sectors, aiming to enhance the quality of medical services and academic research in the region.
