Prime Minister Ali Asadov chaired a meeting with the heads of several central, city, and regional executive authorities to address the aftermath of recent natural disasters in the country. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Cabinet of Ministers reported that the session focused on evaluating the impact of extreme weather conditions.

The meeting specifically addressed the elimination of consequences in several cities and districts of Azerbaijan where heavy rains and floods caused the most severe damage between March 26 and 28. Prime Minister Ali Asadov issued specific instructions to the relevant central and local executive authorities to ensure the rapid restoration of infrastructure and to provide necessary assistance to the affected regions.

Azerbaijan has recently intensified its focus on climate resilience and disaster management following an increase in seasonal flooding across its mountainous and lowland regions. The Cabinet of Ministers regularly coordinates with state agencies to modernize drainage systems and reinforce riverbanks to mitigate the risks posed by heavy precipitation, which can impact agriculture and local transportation networks in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
