Eid al-Fitr prayers were performed in the mosques of Baku on March 20 to mark the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan. The religious ceremonies brought together thousands of believers to celebrate one of the most significant occasions in the Islamic calendar.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the festive prayers commenced at 8:00 AM at the Ajdarbey mosque and at 9:00 AM at the Taza Pir mosque. The ceremonies were attended by local residents as well as foreign citizens residing in Azerbaijan. Following the prayers, imams delivered sermons emphasizing the values of spiritual purity, charity, and unity. Special prayers were offered for the continued strength of the Azerbaijani army, the recovery of the wounded, and the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
