Afghanistan has launched drone strikes targeting locations within Pakistan, according to reports confirmed by the Taliban administration.

Citing reports from Reuters, the Operative Information Center-OMM stated that the Afghan Ministry of Defense claimed the strikes targeted positions allegedly linked to ISIS in Pakistan's Balochistan province.

Conversely, Pakistani officials reported that four drones originating from Afghan territory were intercepted and shot down over the Balochistan province. Authorities confirmed that two individuals sustained injuries during the incident.

This development follows a series of previous cross-border military actions, where Pakistan had conducted strikes against various targets within Afghanistan. The border region between the two countries has long been a flashpoint for security concerns, with both nations frequently accusing the other of harboring militant groups that carry out cross-border attacks. These recurring tensions highlight the fragile security situation along the Durand Line, which has historically complicated diplomatic and military relations between Kabul and Islamabad.
