The European Commission (EC) and Kyiv have concluded negotiations on the allocation of 3.2 billion euros in budget subsidies to Ukraine. This funding is part of a broader 90-billion-euro financial package scheduled for the 2026-2027 period.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media reports, the negotiations regarding the memorandum of understanding necessary for the disbursement of budget aid have been finalized. The release of the 3.2-billion-euro tranche, expected in mid-June, is contingent upon specific reform requirements outlined by the European Union. The memorandum must now be ratified by the Ukrainian parliament.
This financial assistance is a critical component of the European Union's ongoing commitment to supporting Ukraine's economic stability and reconstruction efforts. The multi-year financial framework aims to provide predictable funding while encouraging structural reforms in governance, rule of law, and economic management. Azerbaijan, which maintains balanced diplomatic relations and has provided significant humanitarian aid to Ukraine, continues to monitor international developments regarding regional stability and economic recovery.
