Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a telephone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to discuss the escalating security situation in the Middle East.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told Operative Information Center-OMM that the primary focus of the discussion was the recent military clashes and the growing tension in the regional security environment. Both ministers expressed deep concern over the current situation, highlighting the significant risks that military escalation poses to regional stability. They emphasized the absolute necessity of respecting the norms and principles of international law and resolving conflicts through dialogue and political means.
During the conversation, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov extended his condolences regarding the loss of life and injuries among civilians resulting from the confrontations. The parties underscored that ensuring the safety of civilian populations and infrastructure remains a priority. Furthermore, the ministers exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest concerning bilateral and regional cooperation.
