Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held a telephone conversation to discuss the ongoing development of the strategic partnership between the two nations.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Uzbek Foreign Minister shared details of the discussion via social media.

"We held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov. We discussed the current state and future development prospects of the strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming events at various levels," Saidov stated.

The discussion placed special emphasis on deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, economy, investment, transport and logistics, and energy.

"During the conversation, we also reviewed other issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda of mutual interest," the Uzbek Foreign Minister added.

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan maintain robust diplomatic relations rooted in shared cultural, historical, and linguistic ties. Both nations are active members of the Organization of Turkic States, which serves as a key platform for strengthening political, economic, and cultural integration among Turkic-speaking countries. In recent years, Baku and Tashkent have significantly expanded their cooperation, particularly in the energy and transport sectors, aiming to enhance connectivity across the Caspian region.
