Azerbaijani border guards have successfully intercepted and seized a significant quantity of narcotics at the state border, preventing their illegal entry into the country.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the State Border Service, the operation was conducted within the service area of the "Horadiz" border detachment of the Border Troops Command.
During the border search and operational measures, authorities discovered and removed from illegal circulation a total of 35 kilograms and 85 grams of narcotics, along with 1,980 Metadon M-40 psychotropic pills. The State Border Service continues to maintain strict control over the state borders of Azerbaijan to combat transnational crime and illicit drug trafficking, which remains a key priority for national security agencies.
