US President Donald Trump has issued a statement that further escalates tensions between Washington and Tehran. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, he voiced stern threats against Iran's energy sector on his Truth Social account.

According to President Trump, the United States could potentially seize control of Kharg Island, Iran's most critical oil export terminal, along with other strategic oil and gas facilities in the near future.

It should be noted that Kharg Island is considered the "heart" of Iran's energy industry, as the vast majority of the country's oil exports are processed through this facility.

Comparing the potential US policy toward Iran with the Venezuelan model, President Trump claimed that Washington has effectively taken control of Venezuela's oil and gas markets. He stated that this approach has yielded "excellent results" for both Caracas and Washington.

Military tensions between the United States and Iran have reached a critical peak in recent times. The situation is further complicated by ongoing confrontations surrounding the Strait of Hormuz and regional military bases, as well as persistent disagreements within the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding Iran's nuclear program.
