The State Examination Center (SEC) of Azerbaijan conducted the second attempt of the entrance examination for master's degree programs at higher education institutions on Sunday. The exams were organized in multiple locations across the country, including Baku, Sumgait, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Absheron, Mingachevir, and Lankaran.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reported that due to the weather conditions observed in Baku, special provisions were made for candidates who arrived late, ensuring their participation in the process. However, preliminary reports indicate that one individual was disqualified from the examination after a mobile phone was discovered in their possession, and an official investigation into the matter will be conducted.
According to the SEC, the processing of examination materials will commence on May 18. The results will be announced in two stages: the scores for closed-ended and coded open-ended tasks will be released within the next three days, while the final examination scores—including the evaluation of foreign language essay tasks—will be presented within six weeks. Participants were permitted to take their question booklets with them upon the conclusion of the exam.
The master's degree admission process in Azerbaijan is a centralized system managed by the SEC to ensure transparency and merit-based placement in the Republic's universities. To further assist candidates, the Center scheduled a live broadcast on its official YouTube channel to provide detailed explanations of the test tasks and announce the correct answers for the objective sections of the examination.
