Israel has continued its military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, resulting in a significant increase in casualties across several regions.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), that the scale of the conflict has escalated despite ongoing diplomatic efforts.

According to official reports, Israel has intensified its strikes against Hezbollah targets amid a complex geopolitical backdrop involving the United States and Iran. Over the past 24 hours, four people were killed and three others injured in the Tyre region, while attacks in the Sidon area claimed nine lives and left 13 people wounded. In the Bint Jbeil district, a strike targeting a Lebanese Red Cross ambulance resulted in the death of one medical worker and the injury of another. Additionally, strikes on the Al-Bazouriya settlement killed one person and injured nine others. The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated that since March 2, the total death toll has reached 2,055, with 6,588 individuals wounded.

Hezbollah announced that on April 13, it launched retaliatory strikes against Israeli military positions near the border and other military facilities within Israel. Meanwhile, representatives from Israel and Lebanon are scheduled to meet in Washington on April 14 for critical ceasefire negotiations. These discussions are expected to involve high-level mediation as the international community seeks to prevent further regional escalation. US President Donald Trump has previously emphasized the importance of stability in the Middle East, and these upcoming talks are seen as a pivotal moment for potential de-escalation.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is part of a long-standing confrontation that has seen multiple flare-ups over the decades. The current intensity follows months of cross-border skirmishes that have displaced tens of thousands of civilians on both sides. International observers note that the humanitarian situation in southern Lebanon continues to deteriorate as essential infrastructure and medical services face increasing pressure from the sustained aerial and ground campaign.
