On March 24, Azerbaijani police solved 27 crimes recorded during the day and one cold case from previous periods. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), law enforcement officers detained 27 individuals suspected of committing various offenses across Azerbaijan.
The Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the MIA press service, reported that a total of 22 people on the wanted list were apprehended, including six individuals sought as debtors. Additionally, authorities identified four cases related to drug trafficking and eight instances involving the discovery and seizure of illegally possessed firearms and ammunition. Four individuals wanted for fraud were also detained and handed over to the investigation, while four missing persons were located and returned to their families.
These operations are part of Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to maintain public order and ensure internal security. The Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly conducts nationwide sweeps to combat the illegal circulation of narcotics and weapons, which are prioritized as key elements of the national crime prevention strategy. Such measures aim to strengthen the rule of law and enhance safety for citizens throughout the republic.
