Azerbaijan has commenced the transit of 1,026 tons of Russian-origin propane gas destined for Armenia. The shipment, consisting of 30 railcars, is scheduled to depart from the Bilajari station toward the Boyuk Kasik border crossing today.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this transit operation is part of ongoing logistical cooperation facilitating the movement of goods through Azerbaijani territory.

This transit route has become a critical corridor for regional trade. To date, significant volumes of goods have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan, including over 36,000 tons of grain, nearly 8,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, 68 tons of buckwheat, and 414 tons of anthracite. Furthermore, Azerbaijan has previously facilitated the transit of over 14,000 tons of diesel fuel and nearly 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline to Armenia, underscoring the role of Azerbaijani infrastructure in regional energy logistics.
